Is Sugar Bad For You?

Most of us are fond of taking sugar in various forms to enjoy the taste. You can take the sugar as Sucrose (from sugarcane and sugar beets), lactose (milk sugar), and fructose (fruit sugar). The refined sugar we use in the tea and coffee are the combination of glucose and fructose molecule. In fact, the fructose is twice sweeter than the glucose. It has become a normal thinking that sugar is bad for health.

But people who take adequate sugar get the needed vitamin and mineral along with the energy. Also, there are different school of thoughts as to the harmful effects of sugar. The latest research says that liver cannot cope up with rapid onslaught of large amount of sugar. Consumption of more sugar leads to obesity as well. Hence, it is a must and prudent to limit the consumption of the sugar according to the requirement by the body for better health.
